The event “AI in Action: Connecting Talent and Innovation for Tomorrow’s Business,” held last Tuesday, November 25th at the University Club of UNICAL in Arcavacata di Rende, concluded with a large turnout of experts and institutions. The initiative, promoted by the ITS CADMO Foundation in collaboration with Unindustria Calabria and the University of Calabria, offered a concrete insight into the technologies transforming the global market.
At the heart of the debate on Financial Innovation, the MONEYING-PLUS project was the true star of the day.
The result of an excellent collaboration between Sintegra, Revelis, SPIN, and the CNR (National Research Council), MONEYING-PLUS was presented as one of the most advanced solutions in the field of Fintech. The project captured the audience’s attention for its ability to apply Artificial Intelligence to a vital challenge: supporting financial institutions in the fight against money laundering. Through intelligent data flow monitoring, MONEYING-PLUS demonstrated how technological innovation can become a fundamental bulwark for legality and economic transparency.
In addition to the financial sector, the event featured numerous other research projects:
Sustainability and Construction: focusing on Smart Buildings and waterway monitoring.
Business Processes: applying generative AI to work planning.
Health Care: examining the impact of AI on diabetes treatment.
The meeting featured speakers from prominent figures such as UNICAL Vice-Rector Stefano Curcio, Unindustria Calabria President Aldo Ferrara, and MEP Giuseppina Princi. The discussion, moderated by journalist Anna Trapasso, highlighted the need to build a solid bridge between local talent and businesses.
The event concluded with a networking aperitif, confirming Calabria’s position as a fertile ground for innovation and how projects like MONEYING-PLUS are the driving force behind tomorrow’s business.
